Because Sonic The Hedgehog was THE definition of 90's cool! Been that way, since his inception. The Care Bears is the antithesis of everything that character stood for & is a clear sign of Sega focusing on everything else, other than giving Sonic a good mainline game.

@KyoryuKing28 I got the idea from the Sonic OVA from what I can remember, more specifically during one scene where Sonics in mid air and metal goes to grab him and leaves these after images that were kind of the same color, at first I kept the color to just the after image but after a while-
