The one track I didn’t like was Mount Gulug. I know this is one of the more popular tracks in this game, but all I could hear was that one dreary song I can’t remember the name of from early late 2000’s/early 2010’s(?) that makes me wanna yank my eardrums out every time I hear it

If I had to pick my favourite track from FFIX (with the exception of Hilda Garde, that’s cheating), it’s Qu’s Marsh.
Big timpani and choir activates something in my caveman brain. It’s such a silly track!

@seshpai Yeah I noticed it with them too! Idk if it was time constraints or something, during development, but if it wasn’t, it seems like a very strange directional choice to make.

@Soundsofsuicune Another one that always gets me is the Fire Guardian. Like, you have the epic orchestral piece already playing as the party storms the shrines, never used anywhere else in the game, and it just cuts out when the battle starts in favor of the boss theme... I'm just like... why....

9/10, very enjoyable, good story. I enjoyed it way way more than VI, probably on par with VII for me.
My only two gripes with this one is that there didn’t seem to be much variation in battle music, and I felt that maaaaybe a little bit of fat

It’s ok. But I’m gonna be honest, when Pokémon Showdown is right there, idk why you’d invest too much time into it in the current state the game is it. It seems very limited at the moment.
