Interesting nugget from Texas A&M's Mike Elko, who says winning the SEC typically means having around 13 NFL Draft picks: "We should get to double digit NFL draft picks this year. That’ll be the first time Texas A&M has done that in a very long time."

Texas A&M has tied a program record for the most picks in a single NFL Draft, totaling 10. The only other time the Aggies did that was when the draft lasted 17 rounds in 1976.

Feel for York. Dude was a beast at A&M and one of those guys that lives & breathes ball. Wish there was a system created that allowed undrafted dudes to either go back to school (if they have eligibility left) or sign w/ an NFL team. Whoever gets him, will be getting a good one

@beardyjon85 @utdksu01 @Laceydentist @AdrianHealey Thanks, grew up in STX and lived in Austin for 2 yrs before moving to the PNW. However, having spent a lot of time in Portland, Austin doesn't hold a candle to Portland's weirdness. Austin's weird left in the 90's when COL exploded. Somehow, Portland's weirdos have hung on.

Feel very bad for Austin FC’s fanbase. They must constantly watch other teams play with more verve, intensity, speed & skill. Little cohesion. No consequences. When will Austin actually start to grow as a football club to reflect their vibrant city? 6 yrs in & still waiting….
