Hard to put into words how to say goodbye to a club and fans who have done so much for me in my career. You will always be in my heart. Thank you Tottenham, thank you Tottenham fans. 💙
@Thetoaster98 He’s only been relegated once as far as I’m aware? He only played for Norwich when they were a Championship club. I need us to have a good season especially as could be Kane’s last so signing a player I am confident won’t fail is what I am after
@SpursObsession I'm not against it, just indifferent. Would of liked us to sign someone a bit younger than him. His stats are pretty decent, but they come in bunches so he's kind of inconsistent. Something about a player getting relegated twice with 2 clubs rubs me the wrong way
James Maddison in the last 3 seasons (PL only) has 30 goals and 22 assists
He’s a great free kick taker which we have been desperate for so many years and could earn vital points.
He’s 26 and hopefully will be entering the prime of his career, a seriously huge signing for us.
@Thetoaster98 Everyone is a case by case basis but what I mean is Maddison isn’t going to lose his technique or ability to pass, regardless 26 for a player that has delivered for years in the PL is fantastic, are you against the signing?
@SpursObsession hard to say but I think 4-5 years. Rooney was an absolute technical genius and physical specimen and was washed at 31-32. Rooney was also at his slimmest at that age and it still didn't stop his massive decline
@Thetoaster98 I could understand concern if we were signing a player where their key attributes were physical but do you not think Maddison will realistically still have 7-8 years at least at the top?
@SpursObsession Every month matters when it comes to degradation of physical attributes in football. Son literally went from golden boot, to losing half his pace when he went from 29 to 30
@Maraspurs Raya is a familiar option where everyone knows him whereas not many had even heard of Vicario so that gives an unbalanced opinion but at least we haven’t let a saga drag on over it
@SpursObsession UO: prefer getting Vicario. I watched Raya and I feel he was way overrated. Just a good keeper but not that good to pay that amount of money. I even wanted to buy Dibu instead but well, not bad Vicario. He will already been better than Lloris and Forster lol
There’s a narrative that signing Vicario over Raya is the cheap option but the key reason Raya was primary target is because of his contract situation so we thought he could be bought for cheap not because they thought he’s the perfect keeper
@lobo2210 Exactly, the club always explore these deals and the fact we’ve moved on quickly either shows how much they rate Vicario in comparison or how little they rated Raya past the valuation but the important thing is they’ve got a key position done
