I’ve tried telling people you’re insane if you think the Browns are only winning 5 games. Won 5 last year with a historically bad offense that’s made a TON of upgrades. Elite Defense added 2nd round pick to it as well.

@Rob_Shenanigans Jamar Chase had drop problems through preseason. He turned out. I remember whole app was laughing at them for picking Chase over Sewell, many people noting the drop issue.

I liked the Browns taking Jefferson that late in the draft. Athletic LB with good instincts, plays hard, and feels like the exact kind of value pick good defenses hit on. With the way this organization develops LBs, I think he has a real chance to outplay where he was drafted.

@SteelAndDust The point is he gets the most out of his offensive talent. So, these guys will be maximized and will, to some degree, raise the play even if nobody progresses or develops.

If Deshaun Watson is named the starter, Tony Grossi suggested that Dillon Gabriel would be the better guy for QB2 than Shedeur Sanders. "Gabriel’s a guy who’ll just keep quiet, he’ll study, he’ll stay up on the game plan. He’ll support the starter in any way he can. He’ll run the scout team, and if needed, he’ll play. That’s what you want out of a backup quarterback." Grossi said that Shedeur’s shadow is too large to be a backup QB. Has there ever been a situation where two guys completed for the starting spot…and the one who lost got demoted below the third guy who wasn’t even part of the equation?
