Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea seized power in a 1979 coup, he has ruled for 46 years. He is currently the longest serving non royal head of state in the world, maintaining a regime notorious for crushing dissent and exercising total political control. Paul Biya of Cameroon has been in power since 1982. He has been in office for 43 years and is the world's oldest sitting head of state at 93 years old. He recently secured an eighth term in late 2025 through a heavily manipulated system. Denis Sassou Nguesso of the Republic of the Congo has served a total of 41 years across two stints, 1979–1992 and 1997–present. His rule has been marked by constitutional changes that abolished term limits to ensure his continued tenure. Yoweri Museveni of Uganda assumed office in 1986 following a guerrilla war and has ruled for 40 years. While elections are held, they are characterized by the suppression of opposition candidates, voter intimidation, abductions, and assassinations. History proves that a people in a rush to find a hero will always settle for a captor. When we prioritize the charisma of a strongman over the integrity of a system, we aren't buying progress, we are leasing our own oppression. A nation that cheers for a coup today is usually the same nation that weeps in the next decades. We must stop falling in love with men who recite slogans and start building institutions that outlive them. If the bar remains this low, the bitter prize of stagnation is exactly what we deserve. Let's demand principles over personalities and systems over slogans.

Hate Israel all you want but one thing is absolutely, abundantly clear after the rescue of the American pilots and as this war has proceeded: No other ally in the world today actively assists the US as Israel does. They are the truest ally in every sense of the word. NATO won't even let the US fly through their airspace. Israel? They'll put their own pilots in the line of fire to rescue an American. That's allyship.

African people must not continue being fooled by dictators claiming they are copying China. We can do better. Many African regimes have held power for over 30 years, but what have they actually achieved? Are we anywhere near China's level of development? If they want to copy China, why don't they adopt the whole system? In China, officials face the death penalty for taking bribes, yet we never see that accountability here. Let's call failed dictatorships exactly what they're, they aren't copying China, they're just holding onto power.

This is a lie‼️ These are Christians who were in their house, trying to protect their homes from Islamic terrorists that were threatening to invade & kill them. Their only crime was trying to protect their family with machetes, I knew this rubbish would happen, I knew you guys would twist the story.

The U.S. born Iranian Professor Marandi went viral for saying he is not eligible to become President because his “name is not in the Epstein Files”. Here he is with Scott Ritter, who was convicted of several criminal offenses after engaging in sexually explicit online activity with a police officer who was posing as a 15-year-old girl.

You keep engaging from "you want us to worry about sweeping" & I said this isn't about sweeping Our sanitation is a product of a factory of multiple societal problems working together bringing this outcome & that is why I said addressing it, like all else, is to be *SYSTEMIC*

Africans need to be dealt with because the mental colonialism is deep. Igbo people made a leader for themselves in Ghana 🇬🇭 to protect their organization. Ghanaians oppose it, but here is a European man being coronated with the title Nkosuohene in a community in Ghana. Whitewashed mentality is disgusting…

BREAKING 🚨: Traditional leaders in Supresu have officially outdoored Aldis Ozols ahead of his enstoolment. The businessman and philanthropist is expected to serve as Nkosuohene of the community. Check out some screenshotted reactions below 👇

It is high time people stopped comparing dictator wannabes to veterans like Xi Jinping. Xi Jinping leads via the Chinese Communist Party, a 99 million member institution with a century of history. China's Whole-Process People's Democracy includes eight other parties in consultation and relies on a rigorous meritocratic climb. Meanwhile, Traore's power stems from a single military coup in 2022. One is a massive institutional engine, the other is a solitary military individual. Xi Jinping has played the political game so effectively and secured such public approval that those outside China are beginning to view him as a king. If anyone wishes to emulate China, they should note that the system does not ban all political parties or critics, China functions with several of them in a consultative role. If a leader is truly effective, the people will notice and approve of their tenure themselves. Banning political parties and elections is the move of a dictator, not a visionary.

Yoweri Museveni was not a frail old man when he seized power, he was a fresh-faced, 41 year old revolutionary promising heaven on earth to the Ugandan people. In 1986, he famously declared that Africa's greatest problem was leaders who overstayed their welcome. Decades later, that visionary has become the very cautionary tale he once wrote. The tragedy of the African leadership crisis is this recurring cycle of happy beginnings that inevitably lead to horror endings. A man who rose to power fighting against tyranny has spent the last 40 years arresting critics, crushing opposition leaders like Bobi Wine, and dismantling constitutional safeguards to ensure he never has to leave. By 2026, the fundamental change he promised has devolved into a permanent presidency. It is a sobering reminder that a liberator is only as good as the institutions they leave behind, and Museveni chose to build a throne instead of a foundation.
