@lisanandy I've never heard of overseas investors buying off plan affordable homes, they tend to purchase the mid to higher end product. However I agree give more powers to local councils to secure more social housing with affordable rents.

It can’t be right that overseas investors buy up new homes before hardworking local families even get a look in. Labour will back first time buyers with: ➡️More affordable homes ➡️A mortgage insurance scheme ➡️First dibs on new build homes ➡️Stamp duty on overseas buyers
