An equally amazing day 2 of our conference! Tara @TheAdultsChange showed us the impact of when adults change their language & behaviour, whilst @JohnLewisRetail, @UniofSuffolk & our own Family Business highlighted some pathways for care leavers. A big thank you to all who came!

The most amazing day 1 of our 2024 conference - our primary phase day. @SwailesRuth spoke about the need for a child led curriculum & Stephanie @desty shared how & why we need to break the cycle of intergenerational trauma. Plus brilliant workshops. Our secondary day today!

Fantastic first day at @NAVSH_UK 2024 conference, opened by our very own VSH & NAVSH Chair, Matthew Cooke. Lots of thought provoking & inspirational contributions. Bring on Day 2!

So many messages to take away from our conference but two stand out. 1) Education & learning can change the narrative for a child . 2) Relationships do really make all the difference to a child's education. Whatever our role is in a child's life, we can make a difference.

Looking forward to seeing many of our partners from schools, fostering and social care at our conference tomorrow. Can't wait to hear from our keynote speakers @ScottKing_ , @Luke_Rodgers , @NoiseSolution1 and @AdviserCare and their takes on learning as a transformative power.

...to Chloe, who was nominated for two awards at the Young Adults Network Awards. Chloe started her career at SCC as a care leaver apprentice & was recognised for her outstanding work within the Leaving Care Team. It was great to celebrate everything she’s achieved – so far!
