I came across this in a Register recently, and thought it fitting to post ahead of tomorrow! During the 1380s, John Colton, Archbishop of Armagh, had the following to say about St Patrick’s Day - a joyful feast and abstaining from all servile work sounds pretty good to me! ☘️
