That's All Folks! Today, April 6, was closing day for grooming operations on the Priest and Trout Nordic trails near Telluride, Colorado. Still lots of snow but grooming ends when the ski resort closes each year. Crust skiing will be good up at Lizard Head Pass soon! - Rollo

Priest Lake and Trout Lake Nordic trails were all groomed this morning for skate and classic. Excellent end of season ski conditions. Tomorrow, Sunday, April 6 is final day of groomed trails. Get out there one more day!

OFF SEASON - Course breakdown has begun. Bridge removal in progress.

Bridge removal on Valley Floor Nordic trails begins today on east end of river as bridges are now melted down to wood.

5K on east end of Valley Floor roller packed for skate only while testing new roller. Very thin. Be cautious of obstacles.

Season totals so far. The next storm cycle looks big between 3/13-3/18 for the West.

<1" of new snow so far out of the storm that was supposed to produce more than a foot. >10" of new snow needed, on the ground, before we can think of reopening Valley Floor Nordic trails. Otherwise, probably the end of the season. Keep your fingers crossed.

Snowcat grooming of Valley Floor Nordic trails has finished for this morning. Skate lane groomed and classic track set where possible. Conditions range from poor to good. Get it before the next melt down begins!

It's a great day for Nordic skiing on the Town of Telluride Valley Floor trails. Snowcat groom in progress for skate lane mainly. Some classic track will be reset. Thin conditions. Get out while it lasts!Bike n Hike trails have all been groomed today. Soft until tomorrow morning.

Snowcat grooming on Valley Floor Nordic trails in full swing. Most east end loops are finished. Everything will be groomed by noon. Good conditions for skate and classic skiing. No classic set on thin trails.

Very little of the Telluride Valley Floor Nordic trails look like this, in the shade, section of railroad grade. Most rebuilt base after the storm is one to three inches deep and won't survive without new snowfall.
