@JGlass133 @nascarman_rr We need to go to Richmond 100%. I do think if we're going to do a mile and a half, Chicagoland or Kansas would be the better tracks for us. They have a surface that will produce tire wear and for sure will produce multi-lane racing.

Not to mention this weekend we get a parking lot course within an hour of Texas Motor Speedway.

There were 7 on-track lead changes in the IndyCar race at Phoenix, unrelated to pitstops
In the 15 IndyCar road/street course races since introducing the Hybrid in July 2024, there have been 6 on-track lead changes. All others have been through pit stops

Most Forsyth County roads have been cleared; @Nascar could have raced @BGSRacing tonight. Maybe 4" of "fluffy" snow Saturday; its easier to clear than this week's.
A @CookOut Clash Sunday is still a possibility. Can racers get here from Charlotte? 6" or more expected there.

It would have been lovely to reference this amazing image of the F1-75 rear suspension assembly inside the gearcasing by @carpentiers_f1 amidst the rear suspension affairs of the 2025 season. However, I completely forgot of its existence. It perfectly represents the constraints of having the pullrod layout at the back. Although there is no guarantee the layout remained the same up until '25, I personally feel it provides good insight nonetheless. I don't recall seeing any images of the following car's rear subframe assemblies. Note that they are using belleville stacks for the heave spring. Torsion bars are mounted vertically. A perfect look at how little room there is for larger dampers at the bottom of the casing. The heave damper is limited by the proximity of the driveshaft practically exhausting all the available space with this particular layout. Larger vertical footprint, they risk contact with the driveshaft. I recall the driveshaft having its own separate shrouding in pre-22 cars but doesn't seem to be the case here.

Kyle was more than good enough to make it. I will never forget going to Richmond for the first time and qualifying 2nd and running well in the race until a pit stop issue. Then going to Pocono with him and putting it on pole. Ran up front until Keselowski ripped our LS door open.

Since the moment the single race championship was brought about, I've hated it with every fiber of my being. I hope this is the last weekend I will ever see it. Just an absolute farce to crown a motorsports champion this way.

@jshbutcher Happened a few years ago as well. There is a certain track temp threshold that the Goodyear rubber seems to have a massive shift on concrete. Yesterday no one had wear issues and track took a ton of rubber. Hasn't happened anywhere else but here.

The difference between a manufacturer key partner team and an affiliate team can be seen clearly in the Xfinity aero coefficients from Charlotte. The RCR #33 makes 62 counts more downforce (negative CL) than the Jordan Anderson #31 with the same amount of drag (CD)
