Drawn to the healthcare industry because she wanted to work on projects with a real impact, @Tactuum offers Erin the opportunity to grow and develop her skills while contributing to our NHS trusted, Quris platform. Following university, Erin became further involved in Frontend Development – the creation of the user-facing, interactive parts of websites and applications – and her role at @Tactuum reflects her enjoyment of both the technical and creative sides of this. “I am particularly motivated by using tech for good and working on projects that make a real difference. In my role at Tactuum, I’ll be developing responsive, accessible interfaces across a variety of projects, with a strong focus on creating digital experiences that work well for everyone.” Outside of work, Erin loves the outdoors, whether it is to go swimming or enjoying dog walks! We designed, constructed and delivered the ASSIGN Calculator on behalf of Healthcare Improvement Scotland (@online_his) with usability and patient safety at the core. ASSIGN is a Classified Class 1 Medical Device, thanks to regulatory assessment by @innoscothealth. With its recent recalibration, ASSIGN estimates a refreshed 10 year percentage risk of developing cardiovascular disease for people in Scotland currently without a diagnosis. 📲 💉The Prevent the Progress of Diabetes app Developed by the Right Decision Service and delivered via @Tactuum #Quris Platform - the Prevent the Progress of Diabetes app, managed by Health Improvement Scotland – helps patients of all digital skill levels access tools and resources to support safe, effective behaviour change for diabetes prevention and remission. The app centres its focus on patients with pre-diabetes, gestational diabetes and those who were diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in the last six years or are suitable to aim for remission. An 8-week pilot study in @NHSGrampian found 92.3% of participants rating the app as easy to use, while offering convenient access, via mobile app or internet search. The development of the app was based on the consultation and co-design between patients and healthcare professionals who sought to create a space that empowered the self-management of patients’ diabetes, with the added support of oversight from healthcare professionals. The Prevent the Progress of Diabetes App provides the tools and resources required to help prevent the progression of diabetes and provide support to patients by: · Building patient confidence and emotional wellbeing through digital tools for reducing diabetes risk · Offering weight and exercise management options while facilitating communication with healthcare professionals · Enabling interaction with trusted healthcare professionals, supporting long-term patient use 📞 Want to learn more?
