Not sure if this counts though as it's not SOC.

What else would you add to this slide?🤔 I prepared this for a talk today to @oncologynursing @CCO_Education. Find it useful to remind myself of the key 🔑 biomarkers to test for each GI cancer for which there’s at least an approval/guideline recommendation. #MedEd @OncoAlert

If you go into a place people HAVE to go (especially for cancer care), just put your dang mask on over your mouth AND nose. It's a weird power flex to go around a bunch of cancer patients & nonverbally communicate your confidence in your health. This isn't your moment, cover up.

This whole thread is awesome. I would proudly wear those badges. I know people will live longer because I volunteered. Now let's find another one to help me and the rest of us who said "yes" to early phase/monotherapy trials.

@marklewismd So grateful for the nuanced conversation today around ox dosing regarding cipn. Would love to hear a similar panel talk about successful strategies for ox desense for pts who had to quit due to allergy. It's no man's land out there sometimes.

Dear conspiracy theorists, currently a group of oncologists are gathered and celebrating the possibility of giving LESS chemo to patients with cancer #GI22

Why did I have to be insulted, berated & abused on an @AmericanAir flight AA2935 because I asked the person behind me to put on a mask? Thank God for flight attendant Luis. He tried, but plane forced to land in OKCity because folks 👏🏽 won’t 👏🏽 wear 👏🏽a 👏🏽mask!!! #COVID19

@fireflyann One idea: bring the testing to the patients. Use mobile phlebotomy/home nursing to make it as easy as possible for patient. And tell patients they will have access to data.

@TenaciousJess that could be a half an hour conversation!!! how do we make this more likely to happen? easy to do? ATTRACTIVE to the patients in terms of THEIR needs?

As a consideration. BESPOKE I/O trial with serial Signatera testing for those #CRCSM patients using FDA approved immunotherapy. Finding out WHO is getting benefit to ICI is so important. Especially those MSS w/ TMB over 10 opting to use Pembo. clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04… #GI22

@CCAlliance I'd be curious on the followup regarding mental/emotional health of caregivers if the patient does not survive. It seems that a sudden change from life revolving around cancer could amplify the feeling of emptiness/loss. It's a hard topic, but we cannot ignore it.

Caregivers carry the weight of the world often without the same support the patient receives. My husband has driven me 25,000 miles to/from clinical trial appointments just since July 2020, while also working full time and being an incredible dad to our kids. 25,000+ miles Wow.
Colorectal Cancer Alliance@CCAlliance

Only 32.5% of caregivers received help or advice from their patient’s doctors or medical team on the tasks listed. Special thanks to @phase2 for partnering with us on these key findings. @ASCO #GI22

It takes a special kind of human to attend these conferences knowing that you'll learn more about what doesn't work than does in a disease you are actively trying to survive and staying hopeful. Kudos to all the patient advocates who have become proficient at compartmentalizing.

Loved the discussion on oligometastatic disease & the mention of consideration of age as a factor in choosing treatment. As we see more young people being diagnosed, we must remember what the HOPE of making it to milestones (ie. child's graduation) can do for the spirit.

@TenaciousJess @ASCO @DavidHongMD @RonaYaeger @mgfakih @MDAndersonNews @drgandara @GIcancerDoc @NiuSanford @realbowtiedoc @manjuggm @FightCRC At least the nice thing about these 🐙 trials ē many arms, some of these arms don’t exclude patients who might have received prior #KRASG12C⛔️; either single agent or a different arm, or a different #KRASG12C⛔️; several ongoing trials. We saw data from #KRYSTAL #GI22 @GIcancerDoc

@marklewismd @JIPOEditors This is what I have been talking about. We need to think of trial participants as a valuable, HUMAN, member of the team. Thank them by including them and you will see more people signing up to participate. Sometimes it is forgotten that research can't happen without us!

Repeating my plea in @JIPOEditors that all of the trial results being presented at #GI22 and elsewhere should be returned to the patients who generated the data! That will be the truest incarnation of “open access”

KRISTAL-1 trial presented at #GI22 is really surprising: 100% of DCR in PDAC/BTC with KRAS G12C mutation. Hopefully in the near future the personalized medicine for PDAC will not be the exception. 🙂BRCAm1/2 germ: 5-7%; 🥺MMRd:<5%; 😐NRG1-fusion <1%; 😃KRASm:90% 😶KRAS G12C<1%
