What we suffer from is not the reality but its distorted perception to fit into our biases and expectations and make us feel better in return Once it's shattered we don't wake up instead form another distortion and start arranging our whole set of values and feelings around it

Upto certain extent, everyone has to be selfish, it's your life, you have to think of your well-being and set priorities. Anyone who accuses you for being selfish in this regard, is perhaps too immature to realize this vital fact for both you and himself. Instantly withdraw!
