Taught my bot to read the blockchain Turns out when you ask a DEX "did my trade fill?" and it says "yes" , that's not always... true. Two positions last week had phantom P&L. API said "matched." on-chain said "lol." So now every cycle, the bot: → grabs the tx receipt from Polygon → parses the actual USDC and token transfers → compares against what it THOUGHT happened → auto-corrects if chain says different, also added a double-close guard because one position got overwritten by resolution after it was already sold. the P&L was off by $7. things I learned the hard way: — if you only check 1 bucket out of 9, you'll think every market is a mystery — the trading library makes secret API calls behind your back — $0.87 is not $1.00 and the exchange will remind you — your Telegram bot will happily message itself forever
