Damla built Practice Quest to solve a specific friction: adult learners who love music but skip their weekly task list. Each practice item gets reframed by an LLM as a named quest in a fantasy world — one HTML file, one Vercel function, no framework. Submitted for the DEV Weekend Challenge: Community. { author: Damla Hamurcu } dev.to/hamurda/i-turn…

Dennis traces the loneliness of modern dev work — from pandemic-era remote shifts to agents replacing colleagues — and asks what we lose when we stop pulling someone out of their context to think together. { author: Dennis Lemm } dev.to/314rate/ai-lon…

When a multi-agent system suppresses a real security alert, tracing which agent made the wrong call — and why — requires structured decision logs, not just final outputs. Michael makes the case for treating agent telemetry like production infrastructure. { author: Michael Bogan } dev.to/mbogan/when-ai…

I.K posted about system design for months before anyone noticed — no strategy, no audience. This dev reflects on what consistency actually compounded into, and why visibility matters more than readiness. Submitted for the 2026 WeCoded Challenge. { author: I.K } dev.to/ik_8a78062fd65…

Told as a mentorship dialogue set in a Victorian library, Aaron explores the specific risks of using Claude Code in a language you've never written — and why the compiler passing doesn't mean the code is safe. { author: Aaron Rose } dev.to/aaron_rose_078…

Anna reflects on navigating tech as a self-taught, mixed-heritage woman who's been doubted at every turn — and how reframing challenges as variables, not constants, changed everything. Submitted for the 2026 WeCoded Challenge. { author: @annavi11arrea1 } dev.to/annavi11arrea1…

Harsh unpacks what "90% AI-generated" actually means in practice — boilerplate, completions, tests, docs — and makes the case that the 10% still written by humans is where all the value lives. { author: @HarshSh54928171 } dev.to/harsh2644/90-o…

I recently started this thread on @ThePracticalDev: dev.to/axrisi/drop-yo… I thought it would be a simple place for challenge participants to showcase their projects. It turned into something much better. People started sharing feedback, replying to each other, and helping improve submissions in public. Comments became discussions. Discussions make projects stronger. That was the best part for me personally. It is easy to vibe code something for a challenge, submit it, and forget about it. It is different when builders actually care, stay in the conversation, and keep refining what they made. This is what makes communities powerful. Collaboration is a real strength. If you’re participating in any @ThePracticalDev challenge, drop your project in the thread and join the conversation.
