Ok... why not pull up and disengage? I really don't get the whole. It's too late to pull up because they had plenty of altitude. They just went below the cloud cover, and they could have went right back up. I'm just looking at this a little realistically. They didn't need to dive down and shoot because 50 cals dont have the far of range, and they could have just easily turned around as it's not an immediate death sentence the moment they start getting shot at.
