It’s strange. My parents had entire love affair with this illusion. They loved America during and after Soviet occupation. Was it always lie? If you ask my parents now, they will say yes. They really believe now it was all lies. They say It’s better alternative than russia. But even hell is better alternative than russia. So it means very little. 🤷‍♀️

#NATO propagandists try to convince Russia and the whole world that members of the Alliance allegedly never promised to the USSR not to move eastward. They are lying. Promises were made but were never implemented. NATO isn’t credible.

36 years ago the Berlin Wall began to come down. 5 years later, Jack Matlock, US Ambassador to the Soviets 1987-1991 revealed the promises made to the Soviets for allowing a Unified Germany to join NATO unhindered. They were lied to, and here we are.

@GShadrake @BowesChay "Not one inch east" referred to what had been East Germany only. That was the context in which it was given. If Russia would stop attacking its neighbors, countries wouldn't have to beat a path to NATO's door step for protection against Russian aggression.

@BowesChay As records have been declassified, including Soviet, it’s easy to confirm all leaders, defense ministers, & diplomats were onboard with the “not one inch east” pledge. That pledge was a necessary precursor to Soviets accepting German reunification within NATO.

@FoxBrambleFarm Any information and evidence of war crimes against Ukrainians should be given to the government so when war over the Ukrainian government can hunt them down like Mossad does in Israel. All war crimes need to be catalogued and filed for future reference.

Eventually, russia will be forced from Ukraine, and the war will be over, leaving Ukraine with one of the strongest and most experienced militaries in the world and a clear memory of who was there for them, and who wasn't.

Same model as used in Moldova, Chechnya, & Georgia for a pretext for invasion.

A few years ago I made a series of documentaries on the war in Ukraine. This relatively short video is a summary of how it really began in 2014. An unelected government began killing its "own" people in the south-east of the country after visits from Joe Biden and John Brennan.

@ChrisToddNolan Putin first announced his intention to invade Ukraine & absorb it into Russia on Sept 17, 2003 according to one of his former top advisors. Shortly thereafter, Operation Novorossiya was launched by the FSB to create a "separatist movement". You fell for it.

@likesky8146906 @sumlenny I have friends from Eastern Ukraine who are ethnic Russians, & according to them this is pure bullshit. They were never bothered by the Ukrainian government. They didn't need Putin's help & never asked for it. The separatist movement was an FSB operation.

In 2003, russia’s president Putin went to Kyiv and signed a russo-Ukrainian Treaty on Border, saying “all border questions between russia and Ukraine are closed” and “russia and Ukraine will cooperate further as equal partners”. Of course he lied.
