Has anyone seen Bailey Williams play wafl this year? New rules assisted him at all? Worth giving him a shot over Flynn?

@DunnEagles32553 His 3rd quarter was great on Saturday when he got several big hitouts to advantage and kicked a great goal. Rest of the game was a bit ordinary. I think he’ll get picked and do well against Geelong (with no ruck) but I suspect next elite rucks we’ll have same issue as with Flynn.

@JeppaDT @centristozzy I don’t hate it (love it in 2 years with a bit more bulk!) but I worry that they look okay against 2nd rucks and then get smacked worse than Flynn against first ruck. Might be worth a try though with Cats not having a great ruck.

@centristozzy @TipBetPro Archer Reid is our no. 1 ruck with CDT supporting. It will happen at some point this season, maybe as early as next week.

Eagles debrief: - 2 steps forward, 1 step back - Leaders need to lead - After 1/2 time CDT no1 ruck, Lindsay wing & Duurs on ball - 3/4 time Bo went on ball which i loved & his haters can get in the bin. Was the only one that showed any effort. - Team changes are obvious for R4

@centristozzy @JeppaDT He’ll win centre bounce taps … not convinced they’ll get to a teammate though and he’s worse than Flynn around the ground imo Id be happy if opposition ruck wasn’t huge influence like Witts, Xerri and Grundy (fixtures haven’t helped Flynn - way out of depth vs premium rucks)

@TipBetPro @JeppaDT Baz will at least win the taps. And with the new rules thats more importsnt than around the ground stuff

@BigBirdsBigGame Plenty of logic to it. Mitch is far superior to all our forwards bar Waterman. Longer term Shanahan I can see ending up in backline (Mitch may enable this),CDT in ruck and Archer Reid I’m far from sold on. Agree that Walter may be better value but we’d be crazy not to have a look

Cal reporting that he thinks Eagles will target Georgiades is void of any logic. Key forward is the one position that WC have literally no need for, they have at least 3 players all with higher ceiling than Mitch and could still go after a cheaper more promising option in Walter

@DunnEagles32553 I think this is the more accurate comparison and you take Jagga Smith pretty comfortably over Allan + Lindsay. But I’ve come to terms with it - I like Allan a lot and can see plenty of potential in Lindsay.

@TipBetPro I'm not sure how that's eagles fault, they had every right to try negotiate more for barrass. Hawks the ones who traded pick 14 away. In that scenario it's Jagga or Bo Allan and Josh Lindsay.

Who are you going with? Don't give me the pre season draft nonsense either because If you have followed west coast since 87 you know they don't operate like that. Never have and never will. There was some other hawks picks in there somewhere but not sure what they became.

@DunnEagles32553 Can’t see why he would be. With benefit of hindsight we take Smith with no doubt. But I’m not upset with Baker who was terrific last year and Bo Allan who is really showing potential this year (albeit a long way behind that shown by Smith). A poor trade but not a disaster.

Ok last question eagles fans on this pick 3 trade (bored at work if anyone can tell) if we walked away from the baker trade and just took Jagga with pick 3 are we sure Harley isn't running around in a hawks jumper right now? 🤔😬
