@holygraileth @lookonchain Yeah especially when 99% of ct is as bullish as you… what a crazy og

@lookonchain Very odd. I get selling when you get to a target and like 100k area. But selling the 4th test of the ATH where it feels like we're about to blast off is really weird. Especially for someone who had the balls to hold for that long.

A Bitcoin OG holding at least 80,009 $BTC($8.69B) woke up after 14+ years of dormancy and transferred out 40,000 $BTC($4.35B) today!
This OG controls about 8 wallets, 2 of which received 20,000 $BTC($15,600 at the time, $2.18B now) on April 2, 2011, when the price of $BTC was 0.78.
The other 6 wallets received 60,009 $BTC($202K at the time, $6.52B now) on May 4, 2011, when the price of $BTC was $3.37.
Today, 4 wallets transferred out 40,000 $BTC, while 4 more wallets remain dormant.

The work is far from done.
This is dangerous thinking.

"Bitcoin is inevitable" is a dangerous narrative that can result in complacency. It's exactly the type of psyop I'd run if I wanted Bitcoin to stagnate. Bitcoin is made of people. It needs folks to contribute to both maintenance and improvement of the system. We must believe our contributions are important; why bother to contribute your scarce resources to something that you're told is guaranteed to succeed?

@Stealth40k I bought it on day 1 and I’m super pleased with it. Not a gamer

a few peeps have asked me why we're trying to raise in public, so, here goes 🍿
last December we secured a 1m investment from a TradFi pension fund w/ over 1b assets under management
the news broke whilst I was in Manila for YGG Summit, and if you were in PH at the time you'd have heard me screaming from Cebu
raising was damn hard, and to secure runway from such a legit entity refilled my tanks - which were pretty close to empty after 4 years of non-stop grind
fast forward to now and... wer cash? we're assured almost daily it's coming, but broken promises don't pay the server bills
are we dead? no, but we will be if we don't secure alternate funding
to say this would be a bitter pill to swallow would be an understatement
Tribally has generated over 500k in revenue from bespoke projects, and now that we've packaged our secret sauce into an infinitely scaleable SaaS product we are ~4 months from being cash flow positive
will we get there? i have no idea but you can be assured that absolutely nothing is being left on the table

We're raising $2.4m to disrupt a $49bn industry.

@Jihoz_Axie To add - not every project and use case need a token.

We're seeing more teams in gaming shut down.
Both on Ronin and in the broader space.
This means that small, scrappy teams will have some advantages. Established teams that have had some success in the past will also be in a stronger position.
There'll be consolidation of capital and attention.
Ronin is open. That means more freedom but also more responsibility.
We are going through an evolutionary process where the weak die and the strong survive.
Evolution is painful but leads to growth.
As the space evolves, the fundraising and sale structure for gaming tokens and NFTs will also change to prioritize both user and builder reputation.
Since there have been many successful NFT mints on Ronin recently, thanks to Ronen and other open Ronin projects, that will inevitably attract some bad actors. It will also attract legitimate builders.
Only time will tell.
In the beginning, Axie was seen as a shady project. A CryptoKitty clone.
People questioned why we needed to sell Origin Axies, then Land. They questioned the breeding system and why the Origin Axies were being diluted via the commons. Some of these criticisms also led to breakthroughs, for example SLP was created to more closely link axie inflation to proof of effort and skill in game.
It was only over many years that Sky Mavis and Axie built up trust. And even now there are many that doubt us. This is the natural process of building.
Look at the track records of teams, their vision, the activity and conduct of the founders.
The feasibility of their visions.
Many of the models in web3 gaming are broken. We need better aligned incentives.
More long-term reasons to hold tokens and NFTs. More buyback and value accrual mechanisms for these assets. And better games/product/ and mechanisms that encourage emotional spending in games.
All these things will come, only through evolution and hard times are they possible.
