As a former people pleaser, I’ve come to the conclusion that not only is it not the end of the world when you disappoint someone, but there’s also a sense of relief knowing that they will not be relying on you moving forward. Freeing actually.

You can’t force anyone to change. We have a fantasy that if we just explain to someone how they’re hurting us, they’ll want to change. Accountability is an inside job. People must choose it.

Last week, VT student-athletes partnered with @FeedingSWVA to support their Kid’s Farmers Market with @BGCSWVA. Kids shopped for healthy foods and got a chance to learn from some incredible Hokies. Mentorship, education, and a ton of fun - that’s what it’s all about!! #Hokies
