🇨🇦🇸🇴 Today, I introduced a private member’s bill that would declare July of every year in Canada as Somali Heritage Month! I’d like to thank MP @HonAhmedHussen for co-sponsoring this bill with me and for his counsel. I hope that all MPs will support this legislation. Canada is home to many Canadians of Somali heritage. Canadians of Somali descent have left and continue to leave a historic mark on Canada, with contributions that span communities across the country and are reflected in Canada’s economic, political, social and cultural life. If passed, Somali heritage month would give us an opportunity to celebrate that heritage, the role that Canada has played in supporting Somali Canadians and their contributions to Canada.

The United States is just being hostile for no reason.
The Trump administration treats its allies worse than its enemies. Russians don't levy huge tariffs on Belarussians, knowing they'd look for an out with the E.U if they did.
The "trigger" is mostly meaningless; Trump does whatever undermines Canada.
U.S. companies are infamous for not complying with E.U. regulations, hence no American cars on European roads, but still, Trump continues to cry.
Canada and Europe should see the Trump administration for what they are -- backstabbers and traitors.

🚨 MAJOR BREAKING: Trump just signed an executive order that will functionally wall off the Canadian export economy from the United States.
Every Canadian company shipping to the US now must:
-Post much higher per shipment bonds
-Be CTPAT validated by US customs
-Disclose beneficial ownership & domestic assets
-Provide foreign tax IDs & detailed supply chain data
-Lose access to “informal entry” for low value shipments entirely
The reason?
Foreign importers can’t be trusted to comply with US law.
The trigger?
Canada’s documented failure to enforce its own forced labour ban.
80% of our exports go south.
The Prime Minster yesterday said “we expected this”
Canadians who export to the US sure as hell didn’t.

Forbidden history fact of the day:
Germany invaded Danzig, Poland in 1939 because they were intentionally forced to do so, in order to save the ethnic Germans still living there from being slaughtered by the Bolsheviks (✡️) in the most horrific ways imaginable. (Raping German women then chopping their breasts off, nailing children to barn doors, all the classics from the Bolshevik Revolution/Holodomor)
Between August 10, 1939 and September 6, 1939, the Bolsheviks killed 56,000 German Nationals in the Danzig corridor.
Hitler had already done "the right thing" by protesting in writing to the League of Nations (literally dozens of times), to no avail.
He and the Germans were left with no choice but to go in and stop the massacres and persecutions on Danzig's ethnic Germans themselves.
TLDR: After WW1 and the Treaty of Versailles, Germany was split into two with Poland in between. Atrocities were happening in that small German area, so after numerous attempts to find a political solution, the National Socialists said "Fuck it" and went in to save their people with force.

Today on "World War 2 history you weren't taught in school": Remember Germany's "Invasion of Poland" that kicked off WW2? It turns out, Hitler only wanted the part of Poland that was stolen from Germany after World War 1. The Germans who were stuck living in this region post-WW1 were subject to horrible persecution, literally being murdered by the thousands. The "Invasion of Poland" was a rescue mission. Germany didn't want anything to do with war, especially not with their European brothers. Hitler constantly repeated this in his communications with the countries of Europe (Germany literally airdropped flyers for the British on multiple occasions, telling them there was zero reason to fight when all Germany cared about was fighting Soviet Communism; see the actual flyers attached below). But the Jewish bankers wanted their European genocide, so they pulled the strings behind the scenes as they do, and Britain/France declared war on Germany, using this "Polish Invasion" as the media story (the Jews had already officially declared war on Germany in 1933)

The U.S is trying to subvert the Canadian government via social media propaganda.
We still say what we like, my safe is still full of guns, all governments control energy in their countries to a degree and getting sick here doesn’t mean you’ll have to sell your house.
It’s not perfect but if I had to decide between Canada and the U.S. I’ll choose Canada every single time.

Unbelievable. This girl has been banned from the University of Guelph campus FOR LIFE due to being in the vicinity of her family members conversation with a group of people.
The Campus Safety Office felt that what they were talking about was sufficient enough to ban her & her family member from being anywhere on University of Guelph property forever. Canada is in trouble.
