We stand in unwavering solidarity with the people of India during this time of profound sorrow. The senseless and brutal attack in Pahalgam, which claimed the lives of innocent Hindu civilians, is a stark reminder of the grave threats posed by radical Islamist terrorists. Our hearts go out to the victims and their families. May justice be served, and may peace prevail.

Happy that US Department of Justice and US Attorney General of New Jersey have closed the 4 year investigation of labor discrimination and casteism against BAPS temple in NJ, with no charges filed. At the same time, the severe test of character, trial by fire by big media houses like @nytimes and @NPR and a malicious witch hunt and propaganda against Hindu Institutions and Hindu religion has caused a severe long term impact. Can Hindu Americans counter the propaganda, misinformation and protect their institutions, and their future generations. Vigilance, Courage and Unity are the need of the hour. voiceofhindus.org/battling-hate-…

Part 2: The Left’s Bias Against Hindutva Left-leaning academics, particularly in Western and Indian secular institutions, frequently criticize Hindutva as a monolithic, aggressive ideology that marginalizes non-Hindus, especially Muslims and Christians. This critique, often rooted in postcolonial, Marxist, or secular universalist frameworks, reveals a native bias within academia—a predisposition to view Hinduism skeptically while excusing similar tendencies in other traditions. Several factors drive this bias, unfairly targeting Hindutva while ignoring its parallels with other nationalisms.

The Many Faces of Nationalism: A Defense of Hindutva Against Unfair Criticism Nationalism, a force that binds people through shared identity, culture, or values, takes diverse forms across the globe, each shaped by its historical and cultural context. From the civic nationalism of the United States to the ethnic nationalism of 19th-century Europe, from Swami Vivekananda’s spiritual vision of Indian unity to Yoram Hazony’s defense of the nation-state, nationalism reflects the unique aspirations and challenges of societies.

Unequal Lenses: Why the West Shields Islam, Scrutinizes Hinduism, and Freely Critiques Christianity Western academia and media exhibit a stark double standard in their treatment of world religions. Islam, with 1.9 billion adherents across 57 majority-Muslim countries, is often handled with caution, shielded by accusations of “Islamophobia” and “orientalism,” even when addressing its deficits in gender equality and democracy. Hinduism, practiced by 1.2 billion people, mainly in India, faces unrelenting scrutiny for caste and patriarchy, with little restraint. Christianity, dominant in the West with 2.4 billion followers, is critiqued openly for historical wrongs like witch burning and slavery, as well as ongoing patriarchal structures, but within a familiar cultural framework as the majority faith.

The Timeless Reverence for Gurus in Hindu Culture and Its Relevance in the USA :- Teachers are the cornerstone of society, shaping minds, igniting curiosity, and guiding individuals toward their highest potential. In Hindu culture, reverence for teachers, or gurus, is a sacred tradition rooted in ancient scriptures and stories that celebrate the transformative power of the teacher-student relationship. The Hindu American community in the United States, through programs like Guru Vandana led by the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS),  brings this tradition to life, fostering appreciation for educators in a modern context.

After a terrible terrorist attack in Pahalgam killed innocent Hindu people, Hindu Americans in Los Angeles held a candlelight vigil outside the Pakistan Consulate. They were joined by Jewish friends, Jains, and other local Americans who stood together with them. The group grieved for the 26 people who died and demanded that the attackers be brought to justice. This coming together shows that everyone agrees terrorism is wrong and has no place in our world. Photo videos are in the next posts.
