MAJOR BREAKING 🚨 🚨💣: Xabi Alonso wants Chelsea to keep Enzo Fernández amid interest from Real Madrid. 🇦🇷🔵 According to @latigoserrano, if Enzo were to leave, Alonso would want Chelsea to target a midfielder with a similar profile — such as Aurélien Tchouaméni. 👀 For now, Alonso's preference is clear: keep Enzo at Stamford Bridge. 💙 Alonso reportedly wants to keep Enzo. Real Madrid clearly aren't taking the hint. I get the logic on Alonso's side. Fernandez was one of Chelsea's better performers in a rough 2025/26 season, and there's no debating the talent. If Alonso can actually get through to him, settle him, build the midfield around him properly, Chelsea come out ahead. This is a manager who's shown he can get more out of talented players than what came before him. That's the bet worth making if there's any version of Enzo staying that's real. But here's the problem. Sources increasingly expect Fernandez gets his wish and ends up at the Bernabeu, with his camp described as encouraged by the messages coming out of Madrid. This isn't a player who's lukewarm about leaving. He's pushed for it. So if he goes, the answer has to be Tchouameni. No half measures. A Chelsea legend has already made the case publicly, arguing Tchouameni fits better alongside Caicedo than the alternative being floated in Camavinga. He thrived under Alonso during his spell at Real Madrid last season, so the system fit isn't a guess, it's tested. My take: keeping Enzo happy and productive under a manager who can actually manage him is the best outcome on the table. But if he's dead set on Madrid, walking away with Tchouameni isn't a loss. It's a clean swap for a player who's already proven he can run Alonso's midfield. No losses either way, as long as Chelsea don't blink on the swap if it comes to that..
