British English since that’s our native language it’s the right way. But also things like herb or erb (American) or sweet potato or yam (American). If you are planning to visit Europe I’d go with British English as we use similar names for things as British English takes a lot from French/German.

@UnleashedMrs @PolitlcsUK Because I have heard a health executive doctor just say on radio that there are around 300 cases that develop into illness every year. There is no reason for this case to be connected to the very unusual outbreak. I so hope the wee one is fine.

We don’t know that she was. The vaccine is recommended but we are seeing more and more anti vax parents. And like with all vaccines there can be breakthrough infections, I’m definitely more concerned where she picked it up. Especially as it was before the outbreak at the university.

This wee poppet is the London meningitis case. She fell ill in 4 March, which predates the nightclub cluster & hasn’t been in Canterbury. She’s from Folkestone which is 17 miles from Canterbury.
