@davidclowery I think "She once had me" and "I lit a fire" are both deliberately ambiguous or multivalent. But John and Paul clearly had the burning the apartment meaning in mind. I think it's meant to be one of those songs in which you slowly wake up to the meaning after several listens.

@joelpollak They saved the smelts, but how many wild animals died in the wildfires??? Always "solving" one problem that creates many more. Gov't.

Bobcat in Temescal Canyon this morning. Too weak to run away from me. The wild animals that survived the fire are starving. (I am in touch with an animal welfare volunteer who has a permit and is going to bring a wildlife vet to try to find and save this poor cat.) #PalisadesFire
