@DreJaxBx @RobertSportsBet @Mets And during his whole tenure he only warms up and puts in one guy and doesn't have a backup plan so when a reliever doesn't have it it's like oh well there goes the game. McLean should've stayed in and Baty should've been subbed out in RF to begin the 7th.

Starting to really think Carlos Mendoza is losing his grip on his job with the @Mets more & more with each passing day. It feels like he does not have a feel for game management & the game itself is too fast for him. He can't adjust in time before the game gets away. Not good #Mets

And the only reason the Mets are losing is because Lindor is hitting 150? A lot more goes into losing than one factor of the team. It's also pitching, defense, proper in-game strategy by the coaching staff. Its not all on Mendoza, but its not all on the offense either. Players can't sub or bench themselves if they aren't performing.

@JoeBenigno_real if youre actively rooting against the @Mets to win because you dont like the young POBO only because he isnt a senior citizen like you or Sandy Alderson, you should pick another team to root for. You can be frustrated with losses, but to root for your team to fail so people get fired is a loser mentality. Makes sense though, youre a Jets fan. 🤦🏻‍♂️ #Mets #LGM #YaGottaBelieve

Has to be Garcia or Lovelady gone. Amazingly enough, Lovelady actually looked good his last 2 or 3 appearances but then again the game was already over in those instances so the pressure was off for him to blow the game up himself. Garcia has been bad almost every time #Mets

@RobertSportsBet @Mets And no one including myself is saying it's 100% on the manager either. The players do need to step up and do their jobs. But to say the only reason the Mets are losing is because the offense is inconsistent is just not accurate in my opinion.

@joeposa Yeah last year I kept thinking what is he supposed to do the pitching is crapping the bed every night, but maybe a better manager kind of figures it out a little bit and at least gets them into the Wild Card round #Mets

@plazamuchado @Mets Unfortunately that may have been the better role for him. Someone to manage the players behind the scenes while the actual manger runs the in game decisions. Hes basically lile in football probably a better coordinator than a head coach

And BTW, I've been a Mendoza defender his whole tenure. IMO a lot has been on the players & still is. But there comes a point when bad decisions are starting to overtake bad performance. I know its early & its not like the season is over obv, but this just doesnt look promising for long term success #Mets

Honestly, you can go back to 2024 too. As great of a second half they had, they were dead in the water at the halfway mark. They barely made the playoffs. There were a lot of decisions he made in that season that were eye rollers but he got the benefit of the doubt because it was his first season. Last year, it got worse. And like he likes to say, now here we are #Mets

I personally feel it's more like Stearns built a team that Carlos doesn't know how to use properly. This is a team built for a manager who likes to utilize everything at his disposal at the right times. Carlos just sits there & barely does anything. I would Stearns is losing patience with him
