This is one of the sadder things I’ve seen today. He let people bash his priest who delayed his baptism. Turns out he had good reason.

@breann_b_ @lynnn0404 @MGannucci I did see someone has emailed the Bishop of his diocese and I think that is the right move because I fear this is going to pivot to attacking Catholicism and the priest which makes me very sad

@VolEngineer11 @lynnn0404 @MGannucci The reason he gave was missing too many OCIA classes, which would still be understandable. I just couldn’t shake that there was more to the story. Unfortunately I believe he is capitalizing on being able to share his side of the story knowing the priest is private.

@breann_b_ @lynnn0404 @MGannucci I am a catechist so it was a 🚩 for me when he wasn’t allowed to come into the church at Easter. I assumed it was something grave like cohabitation and I was upset he chose to air it out on the internet instead of seek spiritual guidance

@EverydayCatho @RachelToRome Most people wouldn’t know. I am a catechist and I took a hard pause over the situation when he said he wasn’t allowed to enter into the church at Easter because I feared something grave that we were not privy to was going on and unfortunately I was correct 🙃

@RachelToRome Shame on me for being frustrated with that priest for delaying the sacraments. He clearly saw what was going on. This should be a lesson for me

I am so grateful for the discernment of Neeza Powers priest. We should all continue to pray for him.
