Variable, but all beneficial rain tallies from late Easter Sunday... Another long dry streak begins this Monday.

I've asked this model to add up rain between late Sunday and early Monday. Decent signal... Hopefully the data trends wetter.

Heavy storms on March 16th allowed parts of the Cape Fear, including Wilmington, to wiggle out of severe drought. Unsurprisingly, in this latest update from NOAA, it's back...

In contrast to last week's rollercoaster...

Check out Southport basking in moonlight! April's "Pink Moon" will technically 100% full Wednesday evening, but this morning it passes the eyeball test.

Fog's not a problem in general this Monday, but I found a little tucked in along Eagle Island. Temps are in the 40s to around 50; they'll regularly peak in the 70s and 80s across the week ahead.

A chilly change! Temporary, though... The next few afternoons will have 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s.

The next colder change! Little bit of a smack...

On this final day of winter: an interesting crop of statistics. Wilmington just went back-to-back with "snowy" winters (3+ inches as I've defined it) for only the sixth time in history (records go all the way to 1870). Also intriguing: the late 1980s and 1950s had three-peats!

We'll be watching for the next Space-X launch on WECT News' Carolina in the Morning. Clouds are departing the Cape Fear now, so visibility will be a close call.

Monday's gusty storms delivered a wide variety of rainfall to the Cape Fear. (Typical "feast or famine" energy of convective season...) Next up: several dry days, and a warming trend, into the weekend.
