Real-time intelligence from the Moon! Our Ocula lunar imaging service will leverage @nvidia's Jetson module and Firefly's AI software to enable on-orbit processing in lunar orbit and transmit more timely, actionable insights to customers. The high-res telescopes that power Ocula were delivered to our spacecraft facility and fit checked on our Elytra orbital spacecraft. Learn more here: fireflyspace.com/news/firefly-a…

I watched @rundowndaily_’s interview with Firefly CEO Jason Kim (@Jason_Lil_Kim). I really liked the interview. As a $FLY investor, I enjoyed listening to it. The partnership with Nvidia mentioned in the interview particularly caught my attention. Zade: I want to ask you about your recent partnership with Nvidia. Um, let me see where I had that... it was—I read that you guys are... Yes, so, Nvidia's technology is going to be equipped on your lunar mission, your next lunar mission. Can you talk more about that, and how this partnership came about, and how you plan to maximize it? Jason Kim: Yeah, Zade. So, what's going on is, on our Blue Ghost Mission 2 mission—I mentioned we're going to land on the far side of the moon—we're going to have that orbiting spacecraft called "Electra," and that's going to provide long-haul communications relay capability. But we also put a camera on that orbiter, and we call that service "Ocula," and we're going to be able to sell the data from that sensor commercially. But that sensor also has an Nvidia Jetson module on it. And so, because we have Scitec as a subsidiary now, they do AI processing algorithms, so we're going to be able to port Scitec AI processing onto that Jetson. It's going to launch and it's going to orbit the moon; it's going to take the data, and we're going to be able to show the benefits of AI around the moon, um, particularly in processing different events around the moon and on the moon really quickly. But then, reducing that data into a smaller, you know, data chunk, so we can send that data more efficiently down our bandwidth that we have. So, it's going to test out a lot of different things and show the benefits of AI around the moon. And it's not just this mission; we'll have a third Blue Ghost mission with an Ocula service and a fourth one with an Ocula service that will continue to incrementally tech-refresh and upgrade as Nvidia comes out with more modules that are even more powerful.
