@eckertacresltd Another thought, maybe goes without saying, but using a screen at drill entry will be smart. Sometimes accidental fert chunks sneak though and block tower/runs. Wee bit slower filling, but blockages equal top level cursing.

Hi folks, can I hear from the crowd who blends wheat seed with MAP, would like to try some this year on a small scale because of blending setup, going to have MAP hit the same hopper as seed and let auger do mixing into air seeder tank. How precise do I need to be make an impact?

@eckertacresltd Also want to understand the maximum flow possible though drill. Sometimes getting up over 200 lbs/ac of material is causes headaches. (And starting with certified seed is never a bad idea 😉)

@eckertacresltd Have heard/seen it done a few different ways. Majority of cases, the seed placed phos should be a noticeable benefit. (Benefits smaller if manure history, high soil P, and target early planting). Mixing 1:3 ratio MAP:seed good start. Auger mixing will work.

I just want to thank the teams from Muellensteen Tire and Tirecraft for their valued help at pulling off an excellent compaction event at Perth today. Couldn’t do it without their technical knowledge and willingness to sweat with the rest of us weighing up equipment.
