I keep posting bc it makes me unbelievably sad how tainted something that was such a big part of my childhood, my teenage years *and* my fandom experience has been. I grew up with Harry. But I'm an adult now, and I won't choose nostalgia over my support for the trans community.

either not changing the story much, or maybe just how i’d do it

@WillBeUsing the pacing issue was obvious by the end of issue 1, we got a lot of expositor about BY from the doctor, and the information didn't matter at all. then they went pages after pages about the quest that also ended up underwhelming. There's so much filler and moved so little plot

other than Billy's characterization, another huge issue I have with #WiccanWitchesRoad is the structure and pacing. so many plot threads were introduced and immediately dropped. we spent so much time explaining the quest and the road, only for it to not matter at all?

@stanleyfountai4 yeah, i’m glad WK didn’t watch AAA and pushed against direct synergy, knowing the effects of synergy it could have been so much worse
but there are moments where you can sort of see that he might have pushed to follow that structure or something like that

@WillBeUsing They don't even hide that this is mcu synergy anymore lol as pointed out by oomf this series is suspiciously similar to mcu in terms of structure and elements. I just wish the story was better and didn't have so much mischaracterization and retcons when we don't even need it

It's sad how much #WiccanWitchesRoad did not understand that Billy wanted powers because he wanted to help, he knew how it felt to be powerless and wronged. If Teddy wished to do more to help, Billy would never walk away because "too much expectations". This is not Billy Kaplan

@stanleyfountai4 i feel like knowing it’s a limited series, the scope of the story could have been narrowed down more
but in general i think a story about such powerful characters with these huge fates, and after such a tragic event, should’ve been longer anyways even if it had a smaller story

@stanleyfountai4 the pacing is the issue i had with it basically since #1 or #2
i wish it wasn’t just a miniseries, i have other issues with the story yes, but i still am enjoying it, i feel like it would have benefited a lot from giving it time to breath and let the story progress more naturally
