"Well, Ukraine isn’t our war, yet we’ve contributed more to that fight than anyone." Not true, the figures show it's Europe. It doesn't help your credibility to lie about it. Everyone knows who's contributing what.
Department of State@StateDept

SECRETARY RUBIO: The U.S. is constantly asked to help in wars and we have. But when we had a need, it didn’t get positive responses from NATO. A couple leaders said that Iran was not Europe’s war. Well, Ukraine isn’t our war, yet we’ve contributed more to that fight than anyone.

You don't have to take my word for it. Here is US State Department employee Eugene Fishel who was involved in Ukraine's nuclear disarmament, spearheaded by the US, saying that US coerced Ukraine and that it was massive mistake to do so. x.com/i/status/18823…
Igor Sushko@igorsushko

🧵 Eugene Fishel, former Deputy Director at Bureau of Intelligence & Research (State Dept.): The Budapest Memorandum was a culmination of a pressure campaign on Ukraine by the United States to force Ukraine to give up what was then the 3rd largest nuclear arsenal in the world.

The Banque de France has replaced its gold held in New York with newly standardised bars and moved them to Paris. The operation (2025–2026) generated 12.8bn € in gains, driven by rising gold prices. Now, all of France’s gold is held on its own soil. 🇫🇷

This is not just terrible for Ukraine, it is bad for America. The United States must be a nation whose strength shapes outcomes in our favor. History shows that trading land for promises of peace has a long record of making conflicts worse, not better.

Exclusive: The US has made its offer of security guarantees needed for a peace deal in Ukraine conditional on Kyiv ceding all of the country's eastern region of Donbas to Russia, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy told Reuters reut.rs/3NPWIkK

The crimes of communism never faced a true ‘Nuremberg’ russian crimes have never been punished This is why they continue today in Ukraine Ukraine will win, and russia will answer to justice for all its past and current crimes
Kęstutis Budrys@BudrysKestutis

March 25, 1949. The Soviet regime’s Operation ‘Priboj’ deported nearly 94,000 people from the #Baltics — 34,000 of them from #Lithuania, including teachers, doctors, farmers, clergy, and freedom fighters. Over the next decade, Lithuania faced 35 mass deportations. A total of 132,000 people, mostly women and children, were exiled to uninhabitable regions of Russia. Many men who resisted were executed. Fewer than half of the deportees ever returned. The crimes of communism never faced a true ‘Nuremberg’. This lack of accountability allowed the same imperial mindset to survive — and today, Russia’s aggression against #Ukraine shows the consequences of unpunished crimes. Remembering the victims is a political necessity — to ensure such atrocities never happen again. Photo©️Museum of Occupations and Freedom Fights, Vilnius

Trump on Iranian leaders: "They're gonna make a deal. They did something yesterday that was amazing actually. They gave us a present, and the present arrived today. It was a very big present worth a tremendous amount of money. I'm not gonna tell you what that present is but it was very significant prize."

"The majority of the Aughinish factory’s exports are shipped to Russia’s largest aluminum smelters [which] feed into a supply chain of sanctioned defense contractors ". This is an important story about how exports from Ireland are helping Russia to kill Ukrainians.

A plant in Ireland owned by Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska turned out to be part of a supply chain for missile production in Russia — yet it is not under sanctions. An investigation by @istories_eng, OCCRP, The Irish Times, and partners 🔽 istories.media/en/stories/202…
