@davidbartonmus You probably understand more than ever. I think when your job is a passion it’s often seen as a ‘hobby’ and because we enjoy it, it should be free. I’d never ask my accountant to work for free but often get asked to paint/draw/donate for free...

I share your niggle @YellowstoneAB, and I'm conscious of this as a composer too. I love it when people tell me they've enjoyed things I've written. I appreciate the likes, RTs etc., but at the end of the day, it's not the same as putting your hand in your pocket and paying for it
