It’s ONLY the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Progress will only move as fast as we as a community allow it. Many of you have ailments outside of #Parkinsons. You aren’t PD. Move. Speak. Advocate. Support. Live. #DontBePD

A bigger, more welcoming community, is a stronger community. You don’t go to college to get a degree. You go to experience different perspectives from people from all over the world. It shapes you into a better person. POC aren’t participating. Ask yourself... why? Still blocked.

The disease may not discriminate, but we as a community need to understand that if the disease doesn’t discriminate then where are all of these voices of color? They aren’t participating. It’s a moral issue and a business issue. More POC are more people in our community.

I just realized that I’m picking on @PdAvengers. That’s not my goal and I should stop that. Having more POC in leadership and overall prominent positions within our community is the goal. It’s a systemic issue that must be resolved. #Parkinsons

It is the 30th Anniversary of the Disabilities Act in America. In March 1990 people like 8 year old Jennifer left their wheelchairs behind and crawled up the steps of government building. She said she would do it even if it took her all night. Be brave.

A minimum of 12/15 founders of the @PdAvengers are white. 80%!!! The one black person is the only black voice I’ve ever heard...and I listen. It’s the same people whether POC or not and they suck all of the oxygen out of the room. Actions speak louder than words. 80%! #Parkinsons

I just paid $400 for a video conference MDS appointment that lasted maybe 15 minutes. Most Americans don’t have that much money in their entire savings accounts. For POC the numbers are worse. If they find a cure, but you can’t afford it, then their is no cure. #Parkinsons
