I thought it was someone credible investigating the situation, but no, it's FIDE. 😞 Unbelievable! 👇 The International Chess Federation is investigating Russian grandmaster Vladimir Kramnik for his public statements about American grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky.

The chess world is in mourning today following the tragic news that American grandmaster and beloved educator Daniel Naroditsky has passed away at the age of 29. His family, along with the Charlotte Chess Center in North Carolina, confirmed his unexpected death Monday. The cause has not been disclosed, and his loved ones have requested privacy as tributes pour in from around the globe. Naroditsky, born in California in 1995, was a prodigious talent who rose rapidly through the chess ranks. He won the 2007 World Youth Championship (Under 12) before becoming a grandmaster in 2013. Beyond his competitive success, he was one of the most influential chess educators of his generation, a guiding voice for players of all levels through his calm and insightful commentary on YouTube, Twitch, and major tournament broadcasts. Fans and fellow grandmasters have expressed profound grief. Hikaru Nakamura called his death “a massive loss for the world of chess,” while Danny Rensch described him as “a friend, a brother, and an inspiration whose warmth touched everyone who loved the game”. Naroditsky’s friends recall not only his brilliance and humility but his deep kindness. From all of us at Zeroblunders, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Daniel’s family, friends, and fans. His legacy as a grandmaster, teacher, and human being — will forever resonate throughout the global chess community.

GM Ian Nepomniachtchi reassigned here because mate is inevitable. Find the quickest mate, black to move.
