I get it, people love Call of Cthulhu's "Masks of Nyarlathotep", Traveller's "Pirates of Drinax", Delta Green's "Impossible Landscapes", but for fuck's sake stop telling newbies to start with those. You don't give a kid with a learner's permit a Formula One. Let them learn first.

I belong to several communities for various RPGs, and one infuriating constant is whenever someone pops in with, "What adventure do you recommend to teach a total newbie like me the ropes?" some assface always pushes the biggest, most complicated mega-campaign. Stop doing that!

@SandyofCthulhu Fun fact, sometimes in the show you think Wtf that's such a dumb decision by the characters no one would ever do that. Turns out, a lot of those decisions are based on what his players did in campaigns the creator ran.

@ZeroDeadPod Awesome. I’ll have to check them out. One of my favorite Cthulhu modern scenarios to run with Delta Green is Ladybug, Ladybug, Fly Away Home from The Things We Leave Behind anthology. It just fits so perfectly.

I have been devouring The Conspiracy along with all of the 90’s era scenarios and I think I vastly prefer this time period for Delta Green. Oh to be able to blame all of my 90’s trials and tribulations on dealings with the likes of Stephen Alzis rather than my own puerile stupidity. 😅
