A ceasefire is a military decision, not a political resolution. Over the course of these 2+ years the US and Israel have proven to be bad faith actors, moving away from the rules based order we’ve been taught. Sure, we approached foreign policy with a realpolitik framework before today, but we still operated within the bounds of international and domestic law to some degree. What we’re seeing today is a brazen abandonment of rules based order to achieve an end. The means to the end has no limitations. Now, we operate outside of law and order, and have shown no regard to our international reputation. The empire is losing its global reign and enacting its last bid of global domination through might. Think of this as our last rodeo at securing an economic edge on china.
