if you’re into slower, atmosphere-driven horror with a dark edge, it’s definitely worth checking out just don’t expect it to reinvent the genre, as per usual.

when it does ramp up, it’s satisfying, just not as impactful as it could have been with slightly better storytelling. overall, i’d call it a 7/10. it’s a moody, well-crafted horror with some genuinely effective moments, even if it doesn’t fully reach its potential.

went into 'lee cronin’s the mummy' (2026) not entirely sure what it was about, walked out feeling like i'd had a pretty solid time but not an overly mind-blowing one. it knows exactly what mood it wants to capture and sticks to it, even if it isn't always the most cohesive.

i have now just been informed this is an adaptation of a video game. that's pretty rad honestly.
