The film is adapting Kane Parsons’ Backrooms webseries of the same name. It is not related to any of the Backrooms games in any way, despite what some have assumed.

@3333ism @KaneHypeGuy I mean to an extent. Everyone has the right to their own lore and kanes lore gained the most traction due to how interesting/well done it was done. Especially by a child. The meme lore is its own separate entity (e.x. The wiki, tik tok, games) as you said, open concept.
