They are dead. Rather than risk animal welfare violations, UMass Chan Medical School allegedly destroyed the evidence, the emaciated dogs imprisoned in its lab, before state inspectors could arrive. PETA alerted the Massachusetts Department of Public Health after evidence showed dogs were allegedly starved to keep them small for cramped cages. Tomorrow is a key moment in the Cody Roberts case. After pleading guilty to felony animal cruelty for the 2025 incident involving a Wolf that sparked international outrage, Roberts will face sentencing. The sentencing hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, April 8 at 9 a.m. at the Sublette County District Courthouse in Pinedale. In 2025, CODY ROBERTS from Wyoming, horrifically abused and killed a young female Wolf. He chased and ran her down with a snowmobile, an act that sparked national outrage and underscored the urgent need for stronger protections for Wolves and all wild animals. Roberts said “he regretted his actions” as he pleaded guilty to animal cruelty at a previous court hearing. What he meant was he regretted that he was caught 😡!! Hopefully he’ll get the severest of sentences but I doubt it.

Carrying two means Anarkali was supporting nearly 500 lbs (227 kg) of extra weight during a gestation period that lasts up to 22 months. In the wild, twins rarely survive because the mother's milk supply is usually insufficient for two. However, Anarkali’s status as a "living library"—an older female with decades of knowledge regarding the best foraging spots—likely allowed her to maintain the nutrition necessary to nurse both calves. With the Asian elephant population dwindling due to habitat loss, the birth of two females is a significant "double win" for the species' genetic future. This event wasn't just a spectacle; it was a masterclass in resilience.
