Short statement from the SCB this morning on the insurance concerns. Presumably this means it would have been impossible for anyone, on any licence, to have taken to track without some baseline insurance covering them?

Agreed. The meeting officials should also not allow them to take to the track unless adequate insurance cover has been confirmed.

While there are always multiple sides to any story, it's astonishing that experienced riders were seemingly left riding last night without what they considered adequate insurance. This situation must be resolved before this evening's fixtures.
