@sids Long text: I'm trying wisprflow right now and it doesn't live transcribe on screen. I end up cutting the input short just to see if it has worked! So far it's been really accurate though.

I realised that it’s short sentences like “commit and push” that I find myself using voice typing mostly for. For longer texts, typing allows my thoughts to come out better when I’m slowed down typing speed. Maybe it’s also a lack of confidence because I find that most systems make stupid mistakes in longer texts that I then have to proofread and fix.

Day 1 of forcing myself to use voice typing. It may be faster than my usual typing speed, but it doesn't _feel_ faster. With physical keyboards, I have a mind body connection where I'm not thinking about what I'm typing. Voice feels like more effort, and is 100% more awkward.

Surprisingly effective way to manage context in a repo: - A set of 3 markdown files working together - SUMMARY.md (current status), PLAN.md (upcoming stuff), LOG.md (chronological timeline, can be long) - Agent should always read plan & summary, & search through log as needed

I believe it was @_anks who first mentioned the book to me decade ago. The series is right up there with The Rama Series, Foundation.

@getpy I think people will still read code just to _get_ what's happening. For some time at least...

@_anks No one will look at code unless something broke that LLM isn't able to find. Some will reach here faster than others but eventually everyone will get here. Or you have a different take on it?.

It seems that soon enough, writing your own code will become a luxury hobby: what you do for fun, not as a professional.

@ak47surve Yes! Yahoo Pipes was a result of a more innocent time in the web's history. Over time, platforms locked-down API access and became walled gardens. Agents are a way to take back control of your data (with or without the platform's consent).

I think AI powered SaaS need the ability to JIT Code: write code on-demand, at runtime, as needed for a user ask.

One of the best ways to work with agents on a tough open-ended decisions: invert the conversation. Instead of you writing a detailed spec, have the agent ask you questions to clarify the problem space instead.

My main UX annoyance with Claude Code is losing terminal scrollback on compaction. (I have never noticed this flickering issue that everyone keeps talking about.)

I'm experimenting with the merge-queue feature of GitHub. docs.github.com/en/repositorie… Merge queue runs PR checks on a 'synthetic merge commit' against your main branch, instead of the branch's HEAD revision. With fast moving repos with coding agents, this will catch integration errors faster.

Current algorithm for really critical features: Planning - Opus in Claude Code writes an architecture doc - 5.2 Codex reviews the doc (xHigh or High depending on my patience levels) - Opus incorporates feedback - Repeat Then: Opus implements in one shot.
