@Halfemptyhearts id definitely word it better if i knew i was gonna blow up. youre using really strong words but i understand the point. i wanted to point out the kind of treatment mentally ill people get and show my anger towards it but i definitely worded it badly. i posted an explanation.

@_unnmedicated idk why people are so upset abt this…both absolutely need mental care asap, severity of sh does not equate to the severity of a mental illness, however a person with more severe wounds is going to be prioritized for physical care. that’s literally how hospitals work

@_unnmedicated Yes, I can balance my life and still get up in the morning but I’m still hurting myself occasionally. It doesn’t mean I don’t need help. This makes me want to attempt just to be taken seriously.

@_unnmedicated fully agree, if there's a difference in needed medical care, then there's a difference in severity. That doesn't mean that someone who hits fascia is more sick than someone who does cat scratches, but idk why ppl are trying to treat them as the same

@miaowx199288 thats what i meant, from a medical point as long as there isnt a big risk to your body, hospitals and ordinary people dont care. its really unfortunate and hard because you really are just seen by your body, thats why people end up wanting to "look as sick as their heads".

@_unnmedicated I get that it just always feels so defeating when people all of a sudden care about you when your mental illness becomes outwardly bad. People didnt care when i covered my arm in styros, but just two big lacerations got me handcuffed and involuntarily hospitalized

@zel_spark thats exactly what i meant! its a VERY bad way to measure risk. some people cut only for aesthetic purposes, my father had a friend who wanted to look "villain-like" and he'd cut long wide wounds to match his "aesthetic" not the best method, but it proves scars dont define ur mh.

@_unnmedicated But it’s not always a good way to measure mental health risk/need. Some people are very suicidal and only do cat scratches, while others aren’t and might just have a sh addiction. It’s not a good comparison

@watermeloncxls @nyennnyonn sadly from a medical point more extreme patients are high risk and will be seen differently than low risk patients, first time i went deeper it was because i was told it was just scratches, thats how people see this, i dont agree with comparing disorders but thats the sad truth

10. a little hopecore now i dont do drugs anymore and im not an alcoholic anymore as well as i stopped letting people use me for my body, i still have an ed but its not as severe as before, im trying to convince myself i deserve help

9. desensitization im desensitized about things that happen to me and i dont find them a big deal, happily im not desensitized when it comes to others anymore and i helped a few people with their disorders, i even convinced some they deserve help and everything the best
