Can you get a remote job as a fresher? 💡
Or
How can prepare to get a remote job as a fresher?👋
👇👇👇👇👇👇👇
=> Firstly, there are two things that you need to understand properly. The first thing is, what do you mean by a fresher? [Is it] somebody who has not worked in any company or somebody who has not built any projects yet? So if you have not worked in any company yet, then no worries, but if you have not built any projects yet, then it is an issue.
=> The second thing is, should we just say “can you get it” or “how easy can you get it”? If we say, can you get it? Then yes, for sure. You can get it. Everything is possible. But if you say how easy it is to get it, that's very hard.
=> As a fresher who has not built any projects, completed any freelance projects, or has nothing to show recruiters, it is very hard, very very hard to get a remote job.
===> Now let's talk on practical side. You want a remote job and wants to prepare for that. Then, here is the plan:-
=> Learn any technology it can be UI-Ux designing, full stack development, app development, Blockchain or anything that you like, or there is the demand in the market. so learn that skill while learning build projects. It can be some personal projects that you have Build by watching YouTube videos or by your own ideas or by course. It can be anything but you should understand it properly and you know how you can build a project starting to end.
=> After that, try to work on any real world project. It can be any freelance project or any internship. Also it Does not it matter It will pay you or not. If you have chance to work free then also you should work there because it will give you experience.
=> Now if you are not able to get anything then try hackathons. There are a lot of online hackathons, so you can participate in them. If your project will be good, then you can win some money there and even there are chances to get remote job. But if nothing will happen, then at least you will have some personal projects.
=> After this, you can maybe try open source. Find some good open source projects and then contributing in them. And in your resume mention that you have contributed to these repositories.
=> these all things will create your proof of work that you can show recruiters. So before any job, you should Build these things.
=> if I talk about myself. So before remote job, I have completed around 60+ freelance projects, and also I had around 6-8 personal projects and around 5 projects I developed in @kirat_tw 's cohort and other than that i won 3 hackathons.
=> Everything is available on YouTube and in @kirat_tw 's cohorts You can search each topic and you will get a dedicated video for that.
Thank you
