@j987xyz @BACP We tried that about 2 years ago. It can't be done through articles of association. It can only be done through agm resolution, which left members stymied. If you think this is possible, please, by all means, do it.

@aclientfirst @BACP The ability to expel still exists. You couldve chosen to assemble enough members to call a Gen meeting & remove the existing board 1 by 1, then install a new board to ditch #SCoPEd, instead you join a board compelled to deliver #SCoPEd. Its not multiple choice!

@j987xyz @BACP As honest as I can be is 100% honest. I have had two conversations with Dr James and I've told him exactly where I stand on SCoPEd. He also knows all about the history of the scrap SCoPEd resolution and how i feel about the treatment of myself and others by BACP.

@aclientfirst @BACP Im not asking "be as honest as can be" Im asking be "100% completely honest REGARDLESS of repercussions. Ask Dr James if he'll have you on board being COMPLETELY against #SCoPEd. Good luck on that one!

@j987xyz @BACP You may feel that I can't think SCoPEd is a bad idea and try to influence implementation, I do feel that I can. We'll have to agree to disagree. The spurious expulsion of KS under article 36 happened under a different chair and CEO. I wouldn't have stood if they were still there.

@j987xyz @BACP I've been as honest as I can be about how I feel about SCoPEd, and very consistently. I've never minced my words about it. And I won't. I don't see that as incompatible with trying to have a say in the future of the org. I'm tired of leaving it to people I don't trust.

@j987xyz @BACP Do you mean "will I say i I disagree with the principle of scoped, and I would like to affect how it is implemented?". If so, yes and I have said as much in my election statement.

@aclientfirst @BACP Will you make your intentions absolutely clear to @BACP before they consider voting? It would be good to hear an honest "scrap #SCoPEd". By attempting to improve you accept #SCoPEd that's a huge problem. Exactly where therapy union have gone (allegedly).

@j987xyz @BACP It makes more sense to me to come in and say "here are all the ways in which scoped is failing members & clients. What is within our power to do, to improve these factors?" As ever, I'm particularly interested in how it disenfranchises marginalised therapists and clients.

@j987xyz @BACP I've chosen this moment to stand because there will be majority new members on the board. Now is the moment to effect cultural change at the organisation. If I come in and say "scrap scoped" I'll be wasting my breath (though I'm happy to be honest that's my preference) 1/2

@aclientfirst @BACP If you are part of the establishment you have no choice but to agree to the 5 years plane etc & #SCoPEd, your actions therefore are in support of #SCoPEd! "influence implementation" is a shift from when you wanted it scrapped.

@j987xyz @BACP Of course i will say that if I get to the board. Most people already know that's my view too. I understand it feels to you that I'm becoming part of the 'establishment'. I feel differently about it.

@aclientfirst @BACP Will you address the rest of the board & tell them #SCoPEd is "unjust, incoherent waste of time & resources" or be PART of implementing this unjust, incoherent waste of time & resource.

@Against_SCoPEd I don't rate the 5 year plan at all. I think there is far too much emphasis on global 'branding' and far too little about client rights and member needs. It remains to be seen what power a new board will have over the direction of it.

@j987xyz @BACP I've repeatedly spoken out against the actions of BACP, and i stand by every last thing I've said on the subject. But I am a member, and I'd like to try to improve the direction of the org for the better. The alternative is rolling over and allowing the status quo.

@aclientfirst You've repeatedly spoken out against @BACP, what has changed to want you to join the board? You signed the open letter 29/10/23 raising very deep concerns re @BACP, what REAL evidence have you seen to improve this situation? What motives do you have to join the @BACP board?

@Against_SCoPEd I was silent because I rarely engage with this platform due to its ownership. You now have an answer.

@aclientfirst Yep the absolute silence, no response, communication says all we need to know in the destructive 'game' of #SCoPEd, where the establishment & movers jostle for power & control. We ask who is REALLY served here in this elite nonsense? #notmyframework
