I want you all to know that people don’t need to post on social media to prove that they’re helping.

This is a natural and national DISASTER. These are not normal times and so we cannot always expect ‘normal’ behaviours. Now more than ever, kindness is needed for everyone.

I wish more people in Kingston would look beyond their own realities. Other parishes are already facing severe flooding, damaged homes, crops destroyed, and farmers losing animals they spent months rearing. This hurricane is no joke.

Glad everyone is noticing what I’ve been saying for years- several foreigners think very little of us in the Caribbean outside of our ability to cater to them and their desires.

Am*ricans are so used to sensationalized news that they think we have been inadequately informed because our authorities have not sensationalized the warnings and bulletins.

It’s such a breath of fresh air listening to local media reports as opposed to foreign media on Hurricane Melissa. Foreign media: you will die, you are dead. Everyone. Local media: there will be impact but we are prepared and will make it through.

No St. Andrew High School for girls slander allowed. Our school produces LEADERS, nation builders…. Several rules will look crazy to outsiders, but they help us to focus. Unless you’ve been in the bathrooms on the main building DON’T ASK WHY they banned edges at the school lol
