@SeanTMcGinnis @hogepodge How many times do you have to flip a table before it turns into a horse and heads for the hills. I’m sure I must be getting close.

I can neither understand nor accept that it isn’t #GeneralElectionN0W in the UK. Where are the barricades to mount and defend? If I put one up in my front garden will you join me?

A "tough choice" is deciding whether to feed your children or heat your home. Austerity is not a tough choice. It is a political choice to wage class warfare on the most vulnerable. The right choice is taxing the rich, public ownership, and a redistribution of wealth & power.

Peter Kalmus

There are too many climate advocates with no expertise in social science claiming to know with certainty what will work best. They all tend to say “let’s keep doing more of what we’ve been doing for decades.” News flash: it hasn’t worked

The core problem is that k8s allows us to treat containers as cattle, but images are still treated as pets. "Mom, I want this new image!" "Who's gonna take care of it?" "Me!" "You're gonna feed it and walk it and scan it for CVEs?" "Uh huh!" "Even when it's raining?" "Sure..."

One of the more frustrating things about the ORAN process is that it makes claims about trying to be more developer friendly, but is clinging adamantly to what to me are some of the most developer unfriendly modes of interaction I’ve ever had the displeasure to work with…

@chris_herd Back in the day we used to talk about “peak collaboration”. One key to that was people being committed to documenting anything that happened sync. Sadly I haven’t reliably had that commitment in the workplace for many years.

I'm a big supporter of async work, but it's probably the most misunderstood thing in remote work right now I see a growing reluctance for people to jump on a call and solve problem because everyone thinks the other person doesn't want to Jump on a call for the right things!
