When I transitioned from the classroom to ed consulting, I quickly realized that, as teachers, we’re so quick to settle & compromise. And this led to an important lesson: You can’t negotiate your worth to folx if you don’t believe you’re worthy of being in the negotiation room.

National Aboriginal Veterans Day began in Winnipeg in 1994 to recognize Indigenous veterans who were not recognized in Remembrance Day activities, and is now celebrated in many communities across Canada.

Bhai Dooj was extra special this year because I finally got to be with my Bhai. 🥰 More Diwali and Bhai Dooj pooja with the family has been good for my physical and mental health. I couldn’t be more grateful! 🪔

I have teared up seeing my parents embrace being Dadu and Dadi! And I, of course, am loving being her Bua! Last night’s festivities were so very special. Sending everyone, whether much love, light, joy and happiness! May we continue to strive for peace and justice for all! 🪔

शुभ दीपावली - Happy Diwali! This festival season has been very reflective for me. Lots of time to think and find internal peace. It has also brought great joy and happiness as we have been reunited with Neha & Anupam after 2.5 yrs and celebrated our 1st Diwali with my baby niece!
