This does nothing because the largest conflict to Rhaenyra’s rule is that Aegon Aemond and Daeron exist.
Helaena is a girl so to Westeros’ misogynist politics she is inconsequential. At most she’s a hostage when war breaks ala Sansa with the Lannisters after she married Tyrion.

One marriage could have saved the dragons. If Alicent accepted Rhaenyra’s proposal to betroth Jace to Helaena, their claims would have merged onto an undisputed throne. No Dance, no kinslaying. Jace’s duty + Helaena’s heart = a golden age. Could this match have saved Westeros?
